Referring your friends to GEM is easy. Your friend simply calls our friendly Member Services team and joins GEM for their breakdown cover, quoting your name and membership number. Once their 14-day cooling off period is completed, you will both be eligible to receive your referral rewards!

There's no limit on the number of people you can refer, so you'll keep receiving rewards for every friend who signs up to GEM and that's not all, your referred friends will also receive a £10 reward as well!

Terms and conditions

The GEM MOTORING ASSIST refer a friend promotion (the “Promotion”) is being promoted by GEM MOTORING ASSIST having its registered office at Station Road, Forest Row, East Sussex, RH18 5EN (the 'Company'). Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. These terms and conditions govern the Promotion.
The Promotion
  1. Any existing GEM MOTORING ASSIST customer can participate as a Referrer. Simply give your name and membership number to your friend to quote when they join GEM over the phone. To qualify, the Referrer must be an existing GEM MOTORING ASSIST customer with an active breakdown policy or membership at the date of the Qualifying Purchase.
  2. Friends must quote the Referrer’s name and membership number and make a Qualifying Purchase. A “Qualifying Purchase” is the purchase of a new breakdown cover policy from GEM MOTORING ASSIST. Friend/s cannot be in a breakdown situation when they make a Qualifying Purchase. The Friend/s referred cannot have been a customer of GEM MOTORING ASSIST within the preceding 6 months of their breakdown policy commencing.
  3. Within 3 months of a Friend making a Qualifying Purchase of a breakdown policy, both Referrer and Friend will each receive a reward with a choice of an Amazon or M&S voucher (“Reward”), after the breakdown policy’s 14-day cooling off period, subject to these Terms & Conditions, delivered by post or email to the addresses used to register for the Promotion. Rewards may be subject to availability and/or reward links may be active only for a limited period. Unless set out otherwise, you must use the reward link or voucher to claim a reward within 12 months of the reward being sent to you.
  4. The Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or promotions, discount codes or be purchased via a third-party seller which includes comparison, affiliates, and cashback websites. Purchases can be made by calling GEM MOTORING ASSIST and quoting the Referrers details. Purchases made via third party sellers will not be deemed as Qualifying Purchases. Policies that are cancelled during the breakdown policy 14 day cooling off period will not be deemed as Qualifying Purchases. Any Friends and / or Referrers suspected of fraud will be disqualified.
  5. Referrers' and Friends' (""Users"") personal data will be collected, stored and processed for the purposes of administering and assessing the Promotion. GEM MOTORING ASSIST will comply with all requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998. By participating in the promotion, you accept the Terms & Conditions.
  6. GEM MOTORING ASSIST reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the Promotion and / or review and revise these terms and conditions at any time without giving prior notice and by continuing to take part in the Promotion subsequent to any revision of these Terms & Conditions, Users shall be deemed to have agreed to any such new or amended terms.
